Looking Straight Up (Week 2 of Sermon Series: Revealed)

Many of us have waited to hear that voice from heaven to tell us that we’re on the right track and that we’re who we are supposed to be. Many of us have prayed for that big, unmistakable sign that gives us clarity and focus to tell us that what we’re doing is right.Looking straight up with our heads to the sky. But sometimes Jesus is standing right in front of us… sometimes Jesus is right in front of us, asking or telling us to use our gifts, to live into our purpose, to lift us up when we don’t feel ready. Jesus is most certainly revealed in this text. We hear about and see this amazing recognition about who Jesus is because of this big miraculous moment. But, the true revelation of this text, is that God is pointing back to God’s people through Christ, encouraging us to use our gifts to bring about the kingdom of God.
