We Are Called to Be Transformed As we move to embrace and live out Faith's new mission statement, we look at how Jesus transforms us. We are to transform our minds, serve, and love. We are no longer to follow the ways of this world, taking up our crosses to be living sacrifices. We are transformed by holy communion with Jesus and we celebrate the newness in our purpose through him.

In Jesus' parable, we are confronted by a widow who continues to ask a reluctant judge for justice. We are reminded that persistence pays off even when it is pitted against the indifference of the powerful and the barriers of the system. We come to worship, grateful for our judge. We know God cares to hear from us and so we pray with persistence in his faithfulness.

Reminders: All Saints Sunday and Daylight Saving Time Ends

In our scriptures, we are reminded that we have hope. We have an inheritance in God's kingdom and we are witnessed to his power. As we celebrate the saints who are now blessed by seeing this in full, we come to worship with confidence in the love of God who offers us comfort when we mourn and joy after tears.
